Some inspiration from Louise Bourgeois

When I leaned about Louise Bourgeois , I was really impatient to learn more about her art and life. For sure ,you will find more detailed info on the net , I just want to share with you my 6 impressions that really got me  and inspired me .

I find her a free spirit, always true to herself and she seems not to be bothered by aging or vanity.

So ,here is what actually fascinates me about her

1.

She is a woman born in 1911 and most of her recognizable works were done in the 90’s  that means she was in her 80’s . I wish I have a long and productive creative life like hers.

2.

She is one of the most influential and distinguishable artists of our time, author of some of the most recognizable sculptures like that huge spider -commonly used on rendered images of a museum or gallery.

3.

Her art is nothing but a natural stream of expression and a way of existence. It is genuine, intuitive, unadulterated, brave, honest….

4.

Her works and style are both recognizable and original but also diverse. She was not afraid of using and experimenting with all kind of materials – stone, metals, textile… She was curious and conscious person.

5.

I love her sketches and paintings too, definitely she was constantly creating and investigating the potential of her new ideas.

6.

I love her portraits and the sarcasm streaming from them. I love the way she used to dress and her facial expressions. She seemed to be a cute and eccentric granny with good sense of humor.
